This adds confusion to the situation re the LeO and ADR requirements, as has been pointed out by Elizabeth Davies , Chair of the Legal Services Consumer Panel. Ms Davies’ blog (link below) gives a good working mans guide to the mess that now exists. If I understand it correctly, law firms handling complaints have to provide complainants with a list of (but not necessarily use) ADR approved solutions and the LeO is not one of these…though it can be used !!!
